Opportunities abound for alumni of the We the People program to stay involved!  Not only do alumni currently teach We the People classes and serve as judges, facilitators; timers; volunteers and/or visitors at We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution district, regional and state competitions, alumni are an excellent resource for students and teachers currently involved in the program. The We the People Alumni Network was established to keep you involved and especially connect you with local classrooms.

You can enhance the program experience for current We the People students in the classroom as a(n):

  • Guest Speaker: For alumni knowledgeable in certain areas of the We the People curriculum, whether through advanced study, work/volunteer experience, or focus while in the We the People program.

  • Coach: Drawing on the competition experience which many alumni have, a coach can share research and presentation hints with students and teachers preparing for a hearing, whether in a brief session or through regular involvement.

  • Information Resource: Often teachers and students have questions regarding the program outside of the competition context, whether they are unsure about implementing the program or want know about the Alumni Network.
