We the People... Textbook Subject Area Correlations (September 2008)

Teachers using Level 3 WTP who have students reading below grade level or are English language learners may wish to have those students use the Level 2 or Level 1 text.  Likewise, some teachers using level 2 may want to use level 1 as well, or for the more gifted student readers, use level 3.  The same can be said of level 1 teachers wanting to use level 2.  Below is a correlation between levels 1,2 and 3.  Level 3 has nine more lessons than Level 2 and some content (e.g., Civil War, national bureaucracy, returning to fundamental principles) are not discussed in Level 2.
California We the People hopes that this will become a useful tool for those teachers and departments that use multiple levels of the textbook as well as showing that the material and activities that are found in our We the People texts can be transferred/translated to different grade levels.   If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
